Skilled Defense If You Have A Prior DUI

The penalties for a first-time DUI are harsh enough. When you are charged with a second or third offense of drunk driving, the potential consequences are much greater. You should not face this situation alone.

The DUI defense lawyers of Henley have represented many clients with repeat offenses. Experience matters when you are facing the possibility of such strong punishment.

Call our lawyers without delay at 410-734-5536. We handle DUI/DWI in Ann Arundel and Queen Anne’s counties.

The Penalties Increase For Multiple DUIs

Repeat offenses of driving under the influence (DUI) carries stiffer penalties, including:

  • License revocation – 12 months for second offense, 18 months for third DUI
  • Jail time – Minimum 5 days for second offense (up to two years), up to three years for third
  • Steep fines – Up to $2,000 for second DUI and up to $3,000 for third offense

If convicted, you will have to get an ignition interlock before your driving privileges can be reinstated. If you have had a probation before judgment (PBJ) on your first DUI, you cannot get one for a second or third offense within 10 years.

Practical DUI Defense For Repeat Offenses

Our attorneys represent you in both the criminal proceedings and the MVA hearing. We make every effort to avoid a DUI conviction and revocation of your license if possible. Our goal is to get your case dismissed or knocked down to a non-DUI offense by challenging the evidence and the circumstances of your drunk driving arrest. With so much on the line, you need skilled representation and immediate intervention.
